Abstract

I like the picture of the smoke because i think it has strong composition. I used levels to sharpen the image. I used the rule of thirds. There is a lot of movement because the eye follows the smoke from the bottom to the top

Macro Pictures

I think the smoke picture is the most succesful because it has good composition. I used the histogram to sharpen the colors. I adjusted the curves and made the background darker to make the smoke more intense. The smoke creates lines that the eye follows from the bottom to the top

Photographers

Jan Groover

I emulated Jan Groovers style. I took a picture with the same composition. I used the levels/histogram tool in photoshop to sharpen the image. They are similar composition but I couldn't capture the reflection as well

I emulated Jan Groover's composition. I used the levels/histogram tool to sharpen the image. They are similar composition. However, i used different colors.

Ansel Adams

I emulated Ansel Adams's style and took pictures of trees in the winter. I used the levels/histogram tool to sharpen the image. It was similar to Ansel Adams because he took pictures of nature and some of winter. He also took pictures of trees. It is different because he only used black and white.

I emulated Ansel Adam's style and took a picture of a tree in winter. I adjusted the color with the histogram and levels tool. It is similar because i took a picture of a tree in winter. I don't have mountains in my background. They are both of nature

What do u think i could've done better?

Montage

The theme of the picture is human vs. nature. I created unity because all of the objects are related to each other. I created the perception of depth because as you move back into the picture, objects get smaller. The main tool I used is the magnetic lasso to select images. I also used the rule of thirds.
Do you think I succesfully used the rule of thirds?

The theme for this photo is America. I created unity because everything is American. I used the magnetic lasso and layers. I lowered the opacity on the flag to make it appear in the background. I used proportion to make the eagle looked like it actually belonged on the tree.

Do you think that there was good unity?
