Final Summative

For this project, I used a common theme of nature. I also used macro mode on my camera to take closeups of flowers and plants. I think they had a good composition because I used the rule of thirds. They all have a clear focal point and are in focus. I used photoshop to adjust the levels. I also adjusted the color in them to make them more aesthetically pleasing. The last thing i adjusted was contrast.


Artist Statement:
I feel that throughout the quarter, i have learned alot about photography. I learned how to adjust the levels and colors, and how to crop and edit pictures. I was really amazed by how much better pictures looked after you edit them in photoshop.

The style that I really enjoy is pictures of nature. I also like to use macro mode to take closeups. I love taking pictures of nature because I find nature very beautiful and there are many things available to take pictures of

Tutorial

I did a retro comic book tutorial to make a picture of luke look like a comic book.

Color

I was trying to convey warmth and happiness. The flower is a warm color and the orange helps to convey excitement, enthusiasm and warmth. The purple flowers are trying to convey calmness and tranquility. The green plant is conveying a refreshing and relaxing mood.

I emulated Andy Goldsworthy by manipulating nature to make interesting shapes. I used sticks to make a circle and a curved line. I stacked logs for another picture. I adjusted the levels to sharpen the colors.
